  • Logan will graduate in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree and hopes to enter the corporate communication industry, where she can use her communication, design and social media skills to help maintain a positive reputation for a large corporation.
  • Logan’s combination of corporate communication along with several business courses, has given her an intense knowledge of her chosen area of study.
  • Logan’s experience with working at restaurant for seven years has assisted in developing interpersonal communication skills. Through planning several events such as the annual boat trip and the owner’s house warming party, she also has an understanding of event planning and working toward a common goal.
  • In her “Introduction to Corporate Communication” course, Logan realized how essential it is to link the corporate strategy to a company’s vision. The professor of the course, who was the Director of Corporate Communication for Rockingham Memorial Hospital, provided much insight on what could be done to achieve this. She offered specific examples used in her organization such as a lunch with the CEO each month as well as how she dealt with crises over her time at the hospital.
  • Logan was responsible for event planning for Greek Week 2011. She planned each day’s events and submitted it to the directors for approval. She was also responsible for setting the location and gathering the tools needed for each day.
  • Logan’s organizational skills, enthusiasm and motivation have proven her ability to handle a heavy course load and involvement in campus and social activities.
  • She received Dean’s List from James Madison University in fall 2010 and spring 2011.

  • Part-time job with Rudee’s Restaurant as a hostess and a server. Logan was responsible for greeting customers, providing food and beverages to customers, and assisting with merchandise ordering and advertising.
  • Part-time job with the James Madison University Political Science Department. Logan was responsible for performing general office duties such as answering the phone, filing the mail, making copies, and performing various tasks for professors.

  • Maintained a blog about the education industry and social media. (https://hannahle11.wordpress.com/)

  • “I have had the honor as serving as her employer since August of 2005 and have been continually impressed with Logan’s organizational and leadership abilities. These traits make her an integral part of our business. She has proven herself to be an intelligent, thoughtful young lady able to balance many varied responsibilities at the restaurant while remaining focused on the job at hand.” – Carter Turpin, Rudee’s Restaurant, Owner
  • “Logan handles a very stressful job dealing with customers facing waits for seating that often reaches one hour, with ease and aplomb. What stands out to me is that Logan always has a smile on her face, and her sweet disposition is disarming to even the most seemingly put-off customers.” – Richard Core, Monarch Mortgage, Vice President
  • “Logan is a hard working student both in the classroom and at her place of employment. Her organizational skills and dedication to completing quality work allow her to be successful. I admire Logan’s time management skills and willingness to help out whenever she’s needed.” – Jason Copeland, Kellam High School, Marketing

  • Logan lives in Virginia Beach, VA and enjoys visiting the beach or pool as often as possible when she is home from college.
  • She also enjoys working at Rudee’s Restaurant which is located right on the Rudee Inlet. The main perk of Logan’s work is attending monthly boat trips with all of the employees. The employees also participate in an annual “poker run” in which the participation fee is donated to charity.
